Congratulations to Dr. Mauren Wolff!
Mauren successfully defended her dissertation on July 24th. In her dissertation, titled Every Breath You Take - I'll be Watching You: The Role of Social Context in Shaping Privacy Invasion Under Electronic Performance Monitoring at Work she explored how the perceived invasiveness of digital monitoring in the workplace is shaped not only by the psychological associated features of technology, but also by the surrounding social context, including leadership relationships, team dynamics, and social norms. For the next step, she is planning to pursue academic opportunities in Japan, with the goal of continuing her research in IO psychology at the intersection of technology, and future of work.
